📚 About the Program

The APFNet Visiting Scholar Program (SANFRI-VSP) is an exchange initiative for young ASEAN researchers to conduct scientific research and academic exchanges in sustainable forest management. Hosted by the Yunnan Academy of Forestry and Grassland (YAFG), the program focuses on various forestry aspects, including silviculture, forest ecology, and sustainable management. Scholars will submit a technical report and, for 6-month visits, publish an academic article under YAFG guidance.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Citizen of an ASEAN member economy.
  • Under 45 years old.
  • Recommended by a SANFRI member institute.
  • Educational qualifications:
    • Doctorate in forestry or related field, or
    • Master’s degree with at least 3 years of forestry work experience, or
    • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of forestry work experience.
  • Proficiency in English or Chinese.
