🌍 About the Awards

The Commonwealth Youth Awards for Excellence in Development Work honour exceptional young people making a positive impact in their communities and beyond. If you’ve been leading or contributing to a development project aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for at least a year, this is your chance to gain international recognition and funding support.

✅ Who Can Apply

Youths aged 15–29 by 31 December 2025
Commonwealth citizens (e.g., Malaysians)
Minimum 12 months of ongoing development work (voluntary or professional)
Project must be implemented in a Commonwealth country
Self-nominations and third-party nominations accepted

🏆 What You’ll Receive

Regional Finalist: £1,000 + trophy + certificate
Regional Winner: Additional £2,000 (total £3,000)
Pan-Commonwealth Winner: Additional £2,000 (total £5,000)
Recognition during Commonwealth Week 2026 in London
Visibility through global Commonwealth platforms
Capacity-building grants (for select finalists)
