🌍 About the Scholarship
The OHRES PhD Scholarship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to renewable energy innovation by developing a GIS-enabled spatial decision-support tool that autonomously identifies optimal sites for offshore hybrid systems combining wind, wave, and solar energy. This industry-integrated project is hosted at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus, with collaboration from Blue Economy CRC, CSIRO, and Pitt & Sherry. The research will directly inform sustainable offshore energy planning and integration for industry and government.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
- Completed (or expecting to complete) a Bachelor’s degree with Honours (second division A) or a Master’s degree (AQF Level 9) with a substantial research component, or equivalent qualification recognised by Griffith University
- Meet English language proficiency requirements:
- IELTS (Academic): Overall ≥ 6.5, no band < 6.0
- TOEFL (paper-based): ≥ 575 with TWE ≥ 5.0
- TOEFL (iBT): ≥ 79 with no sub-score < 19
- International applicants (including Malaysians) are eligible
