🌍 About the Prize

The UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development rewards institutions and organizations whose projects have significantly enhanced the quality and effectiveness of teaching. Every two years, three laureates receive global recognition, substantial funding, and the opportunity to showcase their initiatives on an international stage.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Institutions and organizations only (no individual applications)
Projects must be operational for at least three years
Demonstrated innovation in teaching quality and effectiveness
Proven exemplary impact, with potential for replication
Nominations via a UNESCO National Commission or NGO in official partnership with UNESCO
Self-nominations are not accepted

Contact your UNESCO National Commission or an officially partnered NGO to request nomination.
Have the authorized representative complete the official nomination form.
Nominating bodies may submit up to five candidate projects.

Await laureate announcement on 5 October 2026.
