Opportunity overview

This six-month internship places you in UNICEF’s Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation team in Mbabane, Eswatini. You will help track programme results, review reports, analyse and visualise data, and document evidence and lessons from work supporting children. The role also includes monitoring visits, evaluation activities and coordination across programme teams.

You will report to the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, with a quarterly work plan and regular feedback on your progress. It offers practical experience for students and recent graduates interested in development programmes, research and evidence-based decision making.

Who can apply

Current Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD students, or graduates within the past two years, in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, economics, development studies, data science, public health or a related discipline. Excellent academic results and proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint are required. Relevant research or data-analysis experience is an advantage. Qualified applicants of any nationality may apply; the duty station is Mbabane, Eswatini.

Benefits and funding
