đ About the Call
The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), in collaboration with BIRAC, is inviting research proposals that harness marine bioresources for bio-based innovations. The initiative is part of Indiaâs BioE3 Policy and aims to accelerate high-performance biomanufacturing in food, energy, chemicals, and materials. Malaysian researchers may participate through institutional partnerships.
â Eligibility Criteria
- Lead applicant must be an Indian institution, startup, or industry
- Malaysian participants must apply as collaborators
- Proposal must define technical contributions and budget allocation per partner
- Project should fall under TRL 3â5 or TRL 5â8 categories
