Hosted by the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Designing Responsible NLP at the University of Edinburgh, this 2–3-month programme invites researchers from racially and ethnically diverse communities to explore the intersection of AI/NLP and digital heritage. Fellows will engage with ethical frameworks, archival bias, and interdisciplinary dialogue to influence the future of responsible technology.

  • Researchers/professionals from the Global Majority (e.g., Black, Asian, Indigenous, Latinx, racialised backgrounds)
  • Within 8 years post-PhD or 6 years of first academic job
  • Background in digital humanities, archives, museums, or NLP/AI
  • Applicants worldwide β€” Malaysians are eligible

🎁 Funding & Benefits

  • Stipend: Β£2,500/month for 2–3 months
  • Travel Grant: Β£1,000
