🌍 About the Award
The Japan International MANGA Award was established in 2007 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan to honor manga artists who contribute to the promotion of manga culture internationally. The award fosters cultural exchange and mutual understanding through the medium of manga.

- Applicants must be non-Japanese manga artists.
- Submitted works must be manga published outside of Japan within the past three years.
- Both published and unpublished works are eligible.
- Works must consist of more than 16 pages.
- Submissions must be in printed form; digital submissions are not accepted.

- Gold Award: Presented to the best manga work.
- Silver Awards: Presented to three excellent works.
- Bronze Awards: Presented to eleven notable works.
- Awardees may be invited to Japan for the award ceremony and to meet with Japanese manga artists and publishers.
